Step 2 Create a Build Manager
This section provides guidance on creating a new user and assigning the build_manager role to enable environment creation and management within Rules Workbench.
Overview
Assigning the build_manager role to a user provides the privileges required to create and manage environments within Rules Workbench. This process introduces a clear separation of responsibilities by distinguishing the environment management function from general administration.
Steps to create a user and assign build manager role

Log in to rules workbench as the Administrator (account created in the previous step or the initial step).

Under the default screen, the left panel 'Users', Select Create New User '+' icon. This open a Details section in Configuration Area (right panel).

On the landing screen after login, in the left panel labeled Users, select the Create New User ('+' icon). This action opens the Details section in the Configuration Area on the right panel.

In the Configuration Area (right panel), enter the required user information:

User Name

Email
-
Password
-

Assign the build_manager role to the new user

Select the build_manager role from the Available Roles list.

Move the selected role to Assigned Roles using the arrow controls.

Click Create button to finalize user creation.
System Behavior

The newly created user appears in the Users list (left panel) with the assigned role details displayed in the Configuration Area (right panel).

A user assigned to the build_manager role (for example, qa-admin) gains access to environment creation functionality within Rules Workbench.

The build_manager role does not have permission to create users or roles in Rules Workbench.
Note: Log out of the Administrator account and log in to Rules Workbench using the Build Manager credentials to proceed with environment creation.
